Digital Solutions Program Returns to Help Small Businesses Grow Online
Eligible businesses across New South Wales and the ACT can access personalised digital coaching, free workshops and practical support in marketing, e-commerce, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence
The Albanese Government is supporting Australian small and micro businesses through the third round of the Digital Solutions Program, an initiative designed to help businesses adopt digital tools, expand their online presence and strengthen their cybersecurity.
The new phase of the program will officially begin on 1 July 2026, with registrations already open. In New South Wales, the service will be delivered by the Australian School of Employment – The ASE Group, while businesses in the Australian Capital Territory will also receive support through local program partners.
Federal MP for Werriwa Anne Stanley has encouraged businesses throughout her electorate to learn more about the initiative and register for assistance.
Up to five hours of personalised support
Eligible businesses can access up to five hours of one-on-one digital coaching with an experienced adviser.
The sessions will be tailored to the individual needs of each business, helping owners identify practical digital solutions that can improve productivity, attract customers and support long-term growth.
Participants will also have access to a range of free services, including:
- practical workshops;
- online webinars;
- self-guided training resources;
- digital tools and educational materials.
The aim is to provide small businesses with practical advice that can be applied directly to their everyday operations.
Marketing, e-commerce and artificial intelligence
The program covers several areas that are becoming increasingly important for small businesses, including digital marketing, social media, e-commerce, business software, artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, cybersecurity and data protection.
Advisers can help business owners create or improve their websites, develop an effective social media strategy, establish online sales channels and select suitable software for accounting, payroll, inventory management and customer relations.
Artificial intelligence will also be an important part of the program. Businesses will be able to explore how AI tools can assist with content creation, customer service, administrative tasks, business automation and data analysis.
Cybersecurity support will focus on protecting business information, customer data and online accounts from scams, unauthorised access and other digital threats.
Who can participate?
The Digital Solutions Program is primarily intended for small businesses with fewer than 20 full-time equivalent employees.
Eligible participants generally include commercially active businesses with a valid Australian Business Number, including sole traders and businesses operating across metropolitan, suburban and regional areas.
The program is not restricted to a particular industry, meaning businesses from retail, hospitality, professional services, construction and many other sectors may be able to participate.
Supporting businesses across Werriwa
The program is now available throughout Werriwa through The ASE Group.
Local businesses are being encouraged to register and take advantage of the opportunity to strengthen their digital capabilities with professional support.
For many small businesses without their own technology or marketing departments, the initiative offers an affordable and accessible pathway towards digital transformation.
By improving online visibility, introducing more efficient software and strengthening cybersecurity, businesses can become more competitive and better prepared for future economic and technological changes.
Further information and registration details are available through the official Digital Solutions Program website.
